Aftercare
First and foremost, Thank you for all your continued support.
The aftercare process is critical for a longer lasting tattoo. You will want to keep you tattoo out of the sun and stay as hydrated as possible over the next month after your session(s). Do not submerge or soak your tattoo under water. Please do not pick at or scratch your tattoo as this may cause damage to the skin and prolong the healing process or cause long term damage to your skin.
The aftercare instructions will fall between 2 options depending on your tattoo and placement.
Either we will have applied a second skin adhesive OR we will have discussed using a regular aftercare regimen.

Second Skin
This process is pretty straightforward and simple. The second skin will be applied to the tattoo after the session. It will stay on for at least 5 days. (no more than 6.)
Any time less, you may expect an extra week of peeling.

Once it is removed you will immediately continue with the aftercare regimen stated below for about a week or 2 depending on your skin.

It is NOT necessary to wash the tattoo with the wrap on, though, the adhesive IS water proof so you are still able to shower and continue with everyday activities. So long as the adhesive covers the entirety of the tattoo.
Any exposure of the tattoo at all, it is recommended to remove the adhesive.
(liquid build up underneath the barrier is normal, although if it starts to leak, it is also recommended to completely remove the wrap.)

It may be uncomfortable to remove, so It is best to use warm water to break apart the adhesive and to pull downwards along with your skin as opposed to away from you.
Aftercare regime
There are many healing ointments that are tattoo safe. Please do not hesitate to reach out and ask if you have any questions about your product of choice. I will recommend the 2 most common; A&D and Aquaphor. (They are thicker in consistency and petroleum based, so it is also recommended to use a conservative amount when applying onto skin to avoid any breakouts)
DO NOT OVER MOISTURIZE.
It will also be important for you to keep your tattoo sanitized! As long as you are using an ANTI-BACTERIAL and NON-SCENTED soap (preferably liquid) you will want to wash the surface of your skin with warm water as needed throughout the day. It is best to try and keep your skin clean and treat the tattoo as if it is an open wound, because it is.
You will also want to keep a light touch when washing, do not exfoliate or scrub the tattoo clean.
Continue this process daily for about two weeks to a month or until your skin is no longer peeling.

Special Attention
The goal with aftercare, is a nice and healthy peel, whether with or without the second skin. Although, sometimes there may be complications with the healing process.

Things to keep an eye out for are; extreme redness, skin that is hot to touch, any red bumps or break outs, raised skin on the tattooed area.

Some of these cues may just be caused by; over moisturizing, skin chaffing on clothes, or allergic reactions to adhesive or ointment.

If however you do feel sick, the redness is not going away after a few days time and starts to spread rather than subside. Please contact a local dermatologist immediately as that may be a sign of an infection and should only be treated by a medical professional.
(I would also definitely appreciate it if I was kept in the loop!
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I will do my best to reply as quickly as possible)
